The ancient Egyptians called their own paradise Aar. They used to believe that this was a vast plain with rich vegetation surrounded by walls with many gates and crossed by a big river. There were living the souls.
We created this paradise in order to offer a relaxing resort to the visitors of Ioannina,who desire to enjoy the tranquility and fresh air.
Like any paradise Aar Hotel & Spa offers a unique spectacle in winter, as it flooded by the seasonal lake of Vrellis, where large number of birds resting on its waters. In summertime many of storks fly with theis black and white figure in front of our paradise, offering an impressing spectacle.

It is worth to mention that the ancient theater of Dodoni is only a few minutes away from the hotel. The first evidence for the existence of the Oracle of Dodoni as a place of worship, is placed around 2600 B.C.. It’s the oldest Oracle of Greece. The legend says that two pigeons flew from Thieves of Egypt. The one landed in Libya where the temple of Zeus is built, and the other came to Dodoni where the Oracle has been founded.
